Our Volunteers

The World Meditation event involves the efforts of hundreds of volunteers from all over the world, bringing hope and practical help to children growing up in the challenging surroundings of modern life. It is the love for children and the consciousness that world peace rests in the hands of today's youth that has inspired people to contribute their best to this event.

Our volunteers are ready to travel to India from all around the world! Around 300 of them will be coming from Italy, 150 from Russia, together with volunteers coming from England, Spain, China, America, Czech, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Germany, Canada, Australia. From all the corners of the world they will come to India, the international ‘capital’ of meditation, to share the beauty of meditation with students of all ages. At the same time there will be thousands of local volunteers ready to help guide schools in their own country.

Together for a World of Peace

In the last few years, through projects such as Inner Peace and Sahaja Yoga, who have no official funding or sponsors, dedicated volunteers in 51 countries have been offering completely free of charge meditation guidance in schools and institutions around the world. They are experienced volunteers who know how to help children find themselves, and the silence and peace that everyone has inside.

“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children”

Mahatma Gandhi

Through meditation, as well as through games, music and visual arts, our volunteers enable and encourage young people to develop more positive and harmonious relationships with themselves and with those around them. By encouraging children to look inside, a new awareness emerges where they can feel more connected to themselves and each other.

A seed of peace and integration is offered to the new generations, with the aim of reinforcing the fundamental values needed for a harmonious and respectful relationship with others.
